Who We Are: The State of California, Department of Water Resources, Delta Field Division, is now accepting applications for testing for:
Hydroelectric Plant Operator Apprentice $15.39 hr. - $23.78 hr (Ranges A-F)
Hydroelectric Plant Electrician Apprentice Hydroelectric Plant Mechanic Apprentice $2664 -$4360 (Ranges A-H)
Applicants for the above 3 positions must meet the following minimum qualifications for admittance to the examination:
EITHER I One year of experience in the California state service performing the duties of a Service Assistant (Maintenance and Operations).
OR II Education: Equivalent to graduation from high school.
HEP Operators Two years of operations experience in one or a combination of the following: Hydroelectric generating plants; large (at least 25,000hp) pumping plants; high voltage switching and clearances in large (at least 100mw) steam plants. (Experience in substations or switching yard of at least 230kv may be substituted for one year of the required experience).
Utility Crafts Worker Apprentice $2563 - $3549 (Ranges A-F)
Applicants for the above position must meet the following minimum qualifications for admittance to the examination:
EITHER I One year of experience in the California state service performing a variety of general operations and maintenance duties at the level of Service Assistant (Maintenance and Operations).
OR II Ability to communicate at a level required for successful job performance.
SPECIAL LICENSE REQUIREMENT Possession of a valid permanent Class C California driver's license. (A Class C license is defined as a standard California driver's license).
