CURRENT OPENINGS
Group Home Rehab Therapy Technician – (2 full-time positions) Albemarle, Morganton, Sanford, High Point & Goldsboro, NC Provide 24 hour coverage at Group Home facility (includes 8-hour unpaid overnight sleep-time). Assist individuals with independent living skills, self-help skills, housekeeping, etc. Transport individuals to appointments and errands. Plan weekly menu with individual input and complete weekly grocery shopping. Assist with meal preparation as needed. Maintain progress notes. EDUCATION: HS Diploma or equivalent; one year of exp. in mental health field preferred but not required. SCHEDULE: 24 hour rotating shifts. Some weekend and holiday work also required. Program Manager for Group Home – (full-time) Wadesboro, NC Direct the activities of the Group Home, provide supportive counseling to residents (who all have a severe and persistent mental illness) and coordinate with other service providers, assist with activities of daily living; documentation; approving/adhering to budget; transporting residents; overseeing maintenance of facility; and staff supervision. Position requires monitoring of the program to remain in compliance with State Standards and HUD requirements. Participate in requested staff activities such as supervision, program development and/or training meetings; participate in Selection Committee Process.
EDUCATION: Requires a four-year degree in a human services field and at least two years of exp. working with adults who have a mental illness, or an equivalent combination of experience and education. This position is supported and encouraged to utilize continuing education to sharpen and improve skills, as well as, incorporate new learning experiences. Qualified Professionals desired.
SCHEDULE: Full-time, exempt position with some evening and weekend work possible. This is an on-call 24/7 position as manager of the Group Home. The ability to work a flexible schedule is required. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum training; computer literacy; valid driver’s license; good driving record; and the ability to pass a criminal background check. Must have knowledge of fundamental principles, techniques, and methods of the rehabilitation therapy field to include assessments, evaluations, development of goals and activities; considerable knowledge of the Recovery Model and behavior management techniques necessary.

Registered Nurse - (4 full-time positions) Midland (Charlotte), Lumberton, Lillington (Sanford) & Asheville, NC As a Registered Nurse in North Carolina, you need to possess the clinical skills and experience to assess, plan, develop, coordinate and provide treatment, rehabilitation and support services to program individuals. Assist and support individuals of the Assertive Community Treatment Team program in the development of skills, behaviors, responsibilities, and supports needed to live, learn, work and be integrated into the community with the greatest possible degree of self-determination and independence. Provide nursing services including administration and monitoring of medication, nursing assessments, and interventions. Under the direction of the team psychiatrist, you will develop, revise and maintain medication protocols, policies, and procedures. You will record and administer psychotropic medications prescribed by the team psychiatrist and will evaluate and chart psychotropic medication effectiveness, complications and side effects. Arrange for required lab work according to protocol. Make appropriate referrals to community primary care physicians for assessment and treatment. Manage pharmaceuticals and medical supplies. Assume responsibility for writing, implementing, evaluating, and revising overall treatment goals and service plans that are based on evaluations and recommendations from the Assertive Community Treatment Team and input from the individual. Operates under the direction of the Assertive Community Treatment Team Coordinator and the Team Psychiatrist. EDUCATION: Requires MS, BS or AA degree in nursing and North Carolina RN license. Requires minimum of 1 year of experience in psychiatric nursing either in an inpatient or outpatient setting, or an equivalent combination of experience and education. SCHEDULE: This is a full-time position, primarily Monday – Friday. On-call cell phone provided when coverage needed. A flexible schedule is required and is dependent on the needs of the individuals being served. Regular and predictable attendance is required to perform the duties of this position. Substance Abuse Counselor - (3 full-time positions) 2 in Rockingham, 1 in Wilmington, NC Provide Assertive Community Treatment Team services to MI/SA individuals. Function as a Substance Abuse Counselor and have training and/or experience in working with individuals who have been diagnosed with severe mental illness and/or substance abuse issues. Possess the clinical skills and experience to assess, plan, develop, coordinate and provide substance abuse, rehabilitation, and support services to program individuals. Assist and support individuals who are served by Assertive Community Treatment Team services by coordinating, assessing, reassessing, monitoring, linking, and arranging services for the development of skills, behaviors, responsibilities and supports needed to live, learn, work and be integrated into the community with the greatest possible degree of self-determination and independence. You will provide service coordination for individuals with mental health and substance abuse issues and be responsible for developing, with the other team members, the overall service plan for individuals on the caseload. Services may include: individuals and group supportive counseling, monitoring of symptoms and medications, linking the individual to appropriate services, agencies and supports in the community, monitoring the individual’s development of appropriate behaviors in his/her home and other community settings, teaching the individual skills necessary for independent community living and facilitating the individual in the practice and transfer of these skills to his/her environment, providing support to the individual and his/her family. Will be responsible to write, implement, evaluate, and revise overall treatment goals and service plans that are based on evaluations and recommendations from assessments by various professionals and input from the individual. Service elements may address the following areas: medical, financial, legal, social welfare, vocational, educational, transportation and residential. Operates under the direction of the Coordinator for Assertive Community Treatment Team services. EDUCATION: Requires a four-year degree in substance abuse counseling and minimum of one year of experience working with adults who have a mental illness and/or substance abuse issues. Experience working in the human services field with the population served by MI/SA and Dually Diagnosed Assertive Community Treatment Team services, or an equivalent combination of experience and education is desired but not required. SCHEDULE: This is a full-time position, primarily Monday – Friday. On-call cell phone provided when coverage needed. A flexible schedule is required and is dependent on the needs of the individuals being served. Regular and predictable attendance is required to perform the duties of this position. ACTT Coordinator - (2 full-time positions) Asheboro & Lillington (Sanford), NC As the Supervising Manager, you would monitor and coordinate ACT Team services in assigned service area. Interview and hire qualified staff to provide Assertive ACT services and also train, monitor, evaluate and supervise team personnel in assigned area. Provide clinical supervision to the staff and participate in the administrative functions of ACT services that include budget preparation, goal, and outcome planning, informing staff of changes within MHA (billing, programs, policy and procedures), check requests, evaluations, time/travel issues and referral coordination. EDUCATION: Requires a Master’s degree in the human services field and minimum or one year experience working with adults who have a mental illness and/or substance abuse diagnosis. Qualified Professional status required. SCHEDULE: This is a full-time position, primarily Monday – Friday. On-call cell phone provided when coverage needed. A flexible schedule is required and is dependent on the needs of the individuals being served. Regular and predictable attendance is required to perform the duties of this position. TO APPLY SEE END OF AD Community Support Team Supervisor (full-time) Rockingham, NC Serve as a practicing clinician in the Community Support services and direct the day-to-day clinical operations of the Community Support program, including scheduling of staff work hours to ensure appropriate coverage for day, evening, weekend and holiday hours. Provide clinical supervision, along with team psychiatrist, of the development of the comprehensive assessment and treatment plan for individuals. Participate in staff recruitment, hiring, orientation, and training. Ensure medical records are maintained in compliance with agency policies, Medicaid and other third-party requirements. Supervise associate professional, paraprofessionals and other Community Support staff to ensure appropriate treatment of program individuals. EDUCATION: Requires a four-year degree in the human services field and Qualified Professional status. Experience in providing services to a population typically found in psychiatric or substance abuse settings is necessary. SCHEDULE: This is a full-time position, primarily Monday – Friday but on-call 24/7, with some night and weekend work possible. A flexible schedule is required and is dependent on the needs of the individuals being served. Regular and predictable attendance is required to perform the duties of this position.
